For morning and evening walks, you don't have to go far. The nature reserve of the High Fens is nearby.
For a bike ride, too, you start from the cottage. The Vennbahn is just around the corner. The Vennbahn is ideal for recreational cyclists, away from all car traffic and in the middle of nature along old railway lines.
Walking and cycling
The High Fens is a true paradise for hikers and cyclists/mountain bikers. Many routes are available. In the tourist office of Malmedy you can find extensive hiking and cycling maps. In the gîte there are some at your disposal.
If you cannot bring your own bikes, you can rent one from AT Bike. Even electric mountain bikes can be hired.
Rail biking is also possible.
Or how about a ride on the E-scoot?
Winter fun
Winter sports enthusiasts will be in their element in the High Fens: skiing, cross-country skiing, ... Put on your thick coat.
